Postal Adventures – scenarios for kindergarten
and grades 1-3

21.10.2025

the Poczta Polska Group Foundation  website . Each plan guides children step-by-step through their postal adventure: from their first contact with a letter, through the creative fun of mailing, to a magical holiday experience. The "Postal Adventures" project is under the honorary patronage of the Minister of Education.

The Foundation's scenarios combine tradition with modernity, develop children's imaginations, and teach them cooperation. Through play, children learn the role of a postman, learn to write and address packages, and build intergenerational bonds—for example, by creating cards for grandparents. The program supports the development of social awareness and a sense of responsibility, demonstrating that even the smallest letter can have a significant impact.

Scenario 1: "Secrets of the Mailbag"

  • Kindergarten: Children draw their own postcard, learn about the journey of a letter from sender to recipient and find out what the job of a postman is like.
  • Primary school: Children write letters from their holidays, address envelopes and learn the secrets of a postman's job.

Scenario 2: "Secrets of the Post Office"

  • Kindergarten: Creating a "magic package" together, learning about telegrams and unusual parcels.
  • Primary school: Preparing a class parcel, writing telegrams and information on currently available postal services.

Scenario 3: "Letter to Santa Claus"

  • Kindergarten and primary school: Writing and drawing letters to Santa Claus, a story about Rovaniemi (the official seat of Santa Claus in Finland) and the international circulation of letters.

Lesson plans can be downloaded free of charge by any educational institution.

Classes with the participation of a representative of the Polish Post Office

Lessons according to scenarios 1 or 2 can be held at an educational institution with the participation of a representative of Poczta Polska (Polish Post) – details are agreed directly with the regional coordinator. Teachers implement scenario 3 independently. By contacting the Foundation, they can pick up a Christmas Mailbox at their chosen post office.
