During the three editions of the "Przekaz ku przyszłości" (Transfer to the Future) scholarship program, the Pocztowy Dar (Post Gift) Foundation has supported 225 scholarship recipients! This year, talented students can apply for another 80 educational scholarships. In today's publication, we present profiles of several of them. Anyone wishing to receive support in pursuing their passions and interests should submit an application by the end of August.

Victoria Pawlak

SONY DSC

A recent high school graduate from Głogów who, thanks to a scholarship from the "Pocztowy Dar" Foundation, can pursue her dreams of writing prose, poetry, reciting, and learning foreign languages.

Wiktoria's talent has been recognized in numerous competitions – her poems have been published in post-competition almanacs. They have also been published in the Polish press in Great Britain. The young poet also won a special distinction in the international poetry competition "Castello di Duino" (under 16 category) for a poem in English.

Wiktoria developed her writing skills by participating in five creative films that received national and international recognition. Her German-language film "Aber warum Deutsch" received special recognition, winning the Audience Award and premiering at the International Conference of German Teachers (DAFWEBKON 2014). Another film, "From Esther's Diary...", received an honorable mention in the Shalom Foundation competition in Warsaw under the Honorary Patronage of the Minister of National Education and the Minister of Education of the State of Israel.

Wiktoria is also developing her linguistic skills. This year, thanks to the support of the Pocztowy Dar Foundation, she passed the B2 German language exam and won the 12th National German Language Olympiad for Middle School Students.

Klaudia Borejko

A musically gifted fifth-grade student, she has achieved numerous successes on the regional, national, and international stages. Klaudia has won numerous vocal competitions and combines her primary school education with studies at the State Music School, where she attends violin classes. She also hones her vocal skills at the FEVER Private Vocal Studio, an opportunity provided by a scholarship from the "Pocztowy Dar" Foundation.

In the 2013/2014 school year, the young artist took first place in the following festivals and competitions: the Provincial Festival Presentations in Międzyrzec Podlaski, the District Christmas Carols Competition in Wola Gułowska, the Provincial Song Contest "The Singing Nightingale" in Ryki and the National Song Contest "Warszawa da się lubić".

The greatest distinction for Klaudia was her participation in the recording of the albums "Young Artists Sing 2014" and "Piosenki z Tuwimem", to which she was invited by the European Foundation for the Support of Young Talents.

Klaudia combines her musical talent with diligent work at school, which earned her a 5.4 grade point average. She is also involved in extracurricular activities, such as drama, history, math, English, and choir.

Dominika Szczotka

Thirteen-year-old Dominika loves sports, especially tennis. It's in this area that she's enjoyed the most success. She currently ranks 7th in the country on the Polish Tennis Association list. She's twice won the Podkarpacie Tennis Championship, in both the singles and doubles categories – in the winter and summer seasons (under 14). Thanks to the support of the "Pocztowy Dar" Foundation, Dominika was able to purchase necessary sports equipment and pay for trips to tennis tournaments. This allowed her to hone her skills and win more trophies.

Her hard work doesn't end on the court, however. Our scholarship recipient has competed in subject Olympiads, including Polish, mathematics, and English.

Dominika was promoted to the second year of middle school with a very high grade point average of 5.5. Throughout the school year, in addition to tennis training, she also participated in various interest groups: nature, history, computer science, Polish, and English.

Dominica's hobbies also include swimming, athletics, travel, British history and English.
