We did it! An extraordinary shipment of children's letters from the Polish Post Office has reached Santa Claus

19.12.2025

Special report from the Arctic Circle: On Friday, December 19th, Santa's postal helpers arrived at his village in snow-covered Lapland. Sacks full of letters from Polish children were delivered to the Santa Claus post office. Now, Santa and his elves can get busy preparing presents.

Tens of thousands of letters bearing the dreams of Polish children set off from the Polish Post sorting office in Warsaw. The postal bus traveled over 1,800 km through the Baltic countries and all the way to the Arctic Circle to ensure the priceless cargo arrived on time.

There were some difficult stretches, but the special Christmas mission was a success. And today, the Polish Post can announce to children in Poland that their letters have arrived at Santa's house in Rovaniemi. Polish Post drivers Dawid Ceran and Wojciech Pankiewicz, along with Dariusz Parzuchowski from the International Relations Department, were responsible for the safe transport and timely delivery of the letters.

Transport full of childhood dreams

On Tuesday, December 16th, the Polish Post Office's Shipping and Distribution Hub on Łączyny Street was swarming with hardworking elves from Primary School No. 264 in Warsaw's Ochota district. Students helped repack letters of greetings from special mailboxes, which arrive here from all over Poland. The children's written wishes were then packed into mailbags and then into a car, which was then set off for Lapland.

Postal Educational Program

This extraordinary event is the culmination of the educational project of the Poczta Polska Group Foundation and Poczta Polska, titled "Postal Adventures," implemented under the patronage of the Minister of National Education. The program has already reached over 28,000 preschools and primary schools. It has generated tremendous interest from teachers, and nearly 1,000 of them have already conducted "Letters to Santa Claus" classes in preschools and schools based on the scenarios they received.

The activities introduce children to the fascinating world of the Post Office, show them the journey a letter takes to reach its intended recipient, introduce them to the work of a postman, and discuss telegrams and modern-day mail delivery. The children also drew their own postcards, created parcels, learned about the history of the Post Office, and listened to stories from faraway Finland. Finally, they prepared letters for Santa Claus, which were delivered to Lapland today.
