Postcard Map of Dobra

Collection of in-kind donations at Polish Post offices

for locally operating non-governmental organizations and social institutions

The idea of the program

The Good Postcard Map is an initiative in which Polish Post Offices make their space available to local non-governmental organizations so that they can independently collect donations for people in need – primarily children.

The organiser of each fundraiser is solely the organisation that reports and runs it.

The Poczta Polska Group Foundation plays a solely national communication and coordination role in the program: it promotes the idea of helping others, supports organizations in their outreach efforts, and unifies the campaigns under the common slogan "Postcard Map of Good." The Foundation does not organize public collections, nor does it manage or account for them.

Program Objectives

  • Enabling local organizations to conduct collections within post offices.
  • Increasing access to in-kind assistance throughout the country.
  • Supporting local social initiatives and aid institutions.
  • Engaging residents in charitable activities in their region.
  • Building a culture of sharing and solidarity.

What does participation in the program involve?

The program allows non-governmental organizations to – after obtaining the consent of the director of the Regional Network of Poczta Polska – conduct their own, independent collections of in-kind donations at selected facilities.

It is planned that collections will take place four times a year, during periods that are particularly important for the beneficiaries:

  • before Christmas
  • before Easter
  • before Children's Day
  • before the start of the school year

Non-governmental organization reporting the collection:

1. Independently submits an application to the Ministry of Interior and Administration for entry of the collection into the register.

2. Independently conducts a collection of donations at a selected facility.

3. Independently settles the collection and publishes the required reports.

4. Responsible for compliance of activities with the Act on Public Collections.

The Foundation can support activities by:

  • preparation and provision of image materials,
  • promotion of the program as a joint initiative called "Postcard Map of Good",
  • communication assistance in presenting the effects of the action.
