Kazik the boy who won the letter competition

Here is Kazik – the winner of the competition who represents Poland and his badge!

22.05.2026

We visited the school in Kaleja, where Kazik, the author of the letter chosen from among 1,131 entries, is a student and represents Poland in the finals of the 55th International Letter Writing Competition for Young People, organized by the Universal Postal Union, of which Poczta Polska is a member.

We presented Kazik with prizes, an educational scholarship, and a postage stamp dedicated to him. We talked about the competition, writing, and where the idea for this unique letter came from. This year's theme was: "Write a letter to a friend about why human connection matters in the digital world."

If you haven't read Kazik's winning letter yet, we encourage you to read it here.

The competition was organised by the Poczta Polska Group Foundation as part of the "Postal Adventures" educational programme under the Honorary Patronage of the Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland and the Minister of Education, and the substantive patronage of the All of Poland Reads to Children Foundation.

We are rooting for Kazik very hard!
