Tradition is shared roots and memories that connect the past with the present. We demonstrate that the history of the Polish Post is not a closed book – it is a story that continues to unfold and shapes our everyday lives.
On October 18, 1558, King Sigismund II Augustus established the Royal Post Office, making Poland the third country in Europe with a modern, permanent postal service. Since then, letters, parcels, and urgent deliveries have often changed the course of history, with postmen and postal workers connecting cities, families, and entire generations.
Today, this rich heritage inspires the Foundation's activities – combining remembrance of the past with modern forms of education and social cooperation.
