Safe Current

Safe Current insurance is available to all customers who pay their electricity bills at the Post Office. It's simple, overvoltage protection for home appliances. The cost of coverage is 5 PLN for a 60-day period, with the insurance amount reaching up to 5,000 PLN.

What do we insure?

Household appliances (e.g. refrigerators, stoves, washing machines, blenders, microwaves, vacuum cleaners, irons, hair dryers)

Audiovisual and electronic equipment (e.g. televisions, computers, mobile phones, tablets)

What is a surge anyway?

This is a sudden and short-lived increase in voltage in power lines. Every electrical device functions properly only when supplied with current at the voltage specified by the manufacturer. Excessive voltage can result in serious damage or even complete destruction of the device!

Overvoltages are caused by, among others:

atmospheric discharges – lightning strikes directly on power lines, but also in their vicinity,
switching off and on again the power supply.

The cost of insurance protection is PLN 5 for 60 days, and in the event of damage, purchasing a new TV or refrigerator may involve an expense of up to several thousand zlotys.
