September 30, 2020 will be the last day of the eSkrzynka service

postman_1Poczta Polska hereby informs that, in accordance with the Act of 2 March 2020 on special solutions related to the prevention, counteraction and combating of COVID-19, other infectious diseases and crisis situations caused by them, the deadline for providing postal services using electronic means of communication at the delivery stage, i.e. the so-called e-boxes, expires on 30 September 2020. 

Therefore, September 30 this year will be the last day for delivering correspondence to addressees in the form of an electronic document to the e-mail box.

According to the Terms and Conditions of Service, an electronic document will be available in the recipient's e-mail account for 60 days after posting. After this period, all electronic document shipments will be permanently deleted. All users' e-mail accounts will be permanently deleted after 60 days from October 1st of this year.

Furthermore, as of September 27th, the ability to create a new e-mail address will be blocked. Users with existing e-mail addresses will also be blocked from adding a new address.

After September 30, 2020, Poczta Polska will continue to process paper correspondence for the purpose of delivering physical shipments after a one-month storage period.

After the service expiry date, for all customers, including those who used eSkrzynka, Poczta Polska will deliver registered letters, excluding those sent by courts, prosecutors' offices, other law enforcement agencies, and court bailiffs , without acknowledgment of receipt or Electronic Confirmation of Receipt to the recipient's mailbox. Other registered letters will be delivered to recipients in the traditional manner, i.e., by direct contact with the customer, while maintaining all necessary precautions in force during the epidemic.
