FlixBus tickets are available at Poczta Polska branches.
Tickets for FlixBus bus services are now available at over 440 Poczta Polska locations. The partnership between Europe's bus market leader and the country's largest logistics operator was announced today in Warsaw.
FlixBus travel reservations can be made at designated post offices, including those in Warsaw, Wrocław, Poznań, Kraków, Katowice, Zabrze, Chorzów, Częstochowa, Bielsko-Biała, Radom, Tarnów, and Leszno. A list of locations where tickets are available is available on the carrier's website.
Upon approaching the counter marked with the FlixBus logo, the customer specifies the destination, date, and other relevant travel details (information regarding luggage, number of passengers, preferred seat, etc.), which the customer service representative enters into the FlixBus reservation system. Search results are then forwarded to the customer along with the reservation price. After selecting a ride, the reservation is made in the system. Payment can be made cash or cashless, depending on the customer's preference. After payment, a booking confirmation is automatically sent to the customer's email address and can also be printed upon request.
" Introducing tickets from a popular carrier to our offering is part of the Transformation Plan announced in August of this year. It envisions transforming the company into a modern courier, retail, and digital company. One element of this change is modernizing the sales network by introducing attractive services for customers ," says Sebastian Mikosz, CEO of Poczta Polska.
" Our partnership with Poczta Polska stems from our belief that mobility should be accessible to everyone. Thanks to this collaboration, those who prefer direct contact when purchasing tickets can easily purchase tickets at their local post office. Poczta Polska's extensive network of branches, covering many smaller towns, allows convenient access to our services, which is particularly important for seniors or those who don't use the internet. We combine a modern approach to transportation with the experience and trust Poczta Polska has built over the years, " says Michał Leman, Managing Director of FlixBus in Eastern Europe.
FlixBus has been rapidly expanding its network of connections in Poland and Europe since 2017. Currently, passengers can travel directly from Poland to over 400 destinations in Poland and 22 European countries. FlixBus stands out for its modern bus fleet equipped with comfortable seats, ample legroom, restrooms, free Wi-Fi, and power outlets. Additionally, the ticket price includes carry-on baggage and larger checked baggage allowance (up to 20 kg).
In recent weeks, Poczta Polska has begun the process of changing the standards of its branches. Currently, pilots of this program are being conducted in 30 selected locations. " We are fulfilling our promise to eliminate the so-called 'marketplace,' not only by withdrawing certain products but also by introducing new ones tailored to local needs. Enabling FlixBus ticket bookings on our network is a nod to young, mobile customers who can purchase such a ticket during their visit to the Post Office, but also to those who, without access to the internet, choose to purchase directly at the point, " adds Sebastian Mikosz.
The cooperation is part of plans to create a Citizen Service Centre at Poczta Polska, a place where, in addition to traditional postal services, you will be able to collect your passport, buy a book, transport tickets, and take advantage of an attractive range of services and trade.
