Cyber security in Poczta Polska - new systems and strengthening of data protection
Poczta Polska is part of the state security and resistance system, which is why it sets cyber security at the head of its priorities. In response to the dynamically changing threats and the growing number of cyber attacks, the National Operator undertakes a number of initiatives aimed at eliminating technological debt, strengthening data protection and ensuring continuity of services.
The implementation of these goals would not be possible without modernization and update activities undertaken. They include, among others, changes in the field of solutions to detect and prevent cyber attacks-the migration of the firewall to a modern environment, turning off outdated IPS probes in favor of Nextgeneration solutions, or the implementation of the "sandbox" service for e-mails to protect against malware. In addition, by introducing the principles of minimizing access and multi -component authentication (MFA), Poczta Polska significantly increased the security level of its IT infrastructure.
Technology is not everything
In Poczta Polska, great emphasis is placed on education and raising awareness of cyber security among employees. Regular training, quizzes and distribution of publications raising knowledge, such as the biweekly "Cyberix" published by CERT Poczta Polska, are crucial in building security culture and preparing staff to identify potential threats, such as phishing or ransomware attacks.
Safe e-mails
One of the key digital projects implemented in Poczta Polska is the implementation of e-mails. It is a system that digitizes registered correspondence with receipt. Already today, every Pole can set up his e-mailbox for free and receive "recommended" almost as quickly and easily as emails, but much safer. However, here the challenges related to ensuring safety are even greater.
Poczta Polska sets digital security standards in the field of e-mails. It uses advanced cryptographic mechanisms that provide protection for the integrity of the content of shipments - supported by TLS encryption. In addition, a dedicated team watches over the safety of the system 24 hours a day. Thanks to this, e-mails guarantee that the information sent between the sender and the recipient is safe and inaccessible to third parties. And users can be sure that their data is protected in accordance with the highest safety standards.
