Poczta Polska's digital revolution is accelerating. 22.7 million e-parcels have already been sent.
The latest data from Poczta Polska (Polish Post) shows how dynamically the e-Delivery system is developing. Six months after the digital communication service was launched, over 1.4 million mailboxes are already operational, and the total number of parcels has reached 22.7 million since the service began.
In total, over 1.4 million mailboxes have been installed since October 5, 2021 – nearly 50,000 for public entities and over 1.3 million for private entities. Of these, 64% were installed in 2025.
Since the service's launch, over 16.7 million parcels have been shipped using the Universal Hybrid Service (PUH), and nearly 6 million using the Public Registered Electronic Delivery Service (PURDE). Importantly, 85% of these parcels—nearly 19.5 million items, including 5.8 million fully digital parcels and over 13.6 million hybrid parcels—were shipped in the last six months.
PUH a PURDE
The Public Hybrid Service involves sending an electronic message to a citizen, for example, by a government office or local government, and then printing it and traditionally delivering it via Poczta Polska (Polish Post) – as the recipient has not yet registered in the e-Delivery system. The Public Registered Electronic Delivery Service, on the other hand, is fully digital and operates when both the sender and recipient are already using the system.
Another extension of the system
From July 1, the use of the e-Delivery system has become mandatory for those entrepreneurs registered in the Central Registration and Information on Business (CEIDG) by the end of 2024 who make changes to their entry in the register after June 30 this year.
This is another expansion of the system. As of January 1st of this year, the e-Delivery system has become a mandatory communication tool for offices and professions of public trust (e.g., attorneys, legal advisors, accountants, etc.), and as of April 1st, it also covers businesses registered in the National Court Register.
The introduction of this requirement is part of a broader plan to digitize public services, aimed at increasing the efficiency and security of document exchange between institutions, citizens and businesses.
e-Polecony service
Poczta Polska also encourages the use of its e-Poleconyservice. The difference between e-Delivery and e-Poleconyis that in e-Delivery, one of the parties is always a public entity, and the service is free for citizens and businesses, among others. E-Polecony is the same digital delivery, but between non-public entities, such as a company and a private individual. Thanks to e-Registered, you can completely eliminate paper correspondence from your home or business.
E-Polecony allows you to send and receive a letter anywhere, anytime, on any device. We save time and money – the shipment reaches the recipient in seconds and costs just PLN 1.79 net. Shipping, pre-notification, and delivery are confirmed by issuing receipts confirming the actions of both the sender and the recipient.
How to activate e-Polecony?
Establishing an Electronic Delivery Address (ADE) is possible after submitting an application to the Minister responsible for IT. This can be done via the gov.pl website. After creating an account, simply activate the public delivery mailbox (SD) and you can activate e-Polecony e-Polecony users .
The assignment of an address by the minister ensures that we know exactly who we're corresponding with, as there's no possibility of impersonation. Every user wishing to use the service must authenticate themselves, meaning they log in using an electronic identification device, such as a trusted profile.
Reliable system
Data from Poczta Polska show an important trend – a systematic decline in complaints submitted by customers regarding the implementation of PUH and PURDE services.
It is worth noting that the most common mistake made by customers when preparing a PUH shipment is not maintaining the required margins in the PDF document – this error has recently accounted for up to 76% of all rejected shipments.
