The digitalization of the Polish Post Office is accelerating
Receiving registered mail via Poczta Polska's e-mail box is becoming increasingly popular with customers. Within a month of its launch, 5,000 people began using the service. Instead of traditional paper mail, customers receive registered mail electronically.
At the customer's request, Poczta Polska processes a registered letter into an electronic document and makes it available in the e-mail box, which is set up using the trusted customer profile. The e-mail box contains both the scanned envelope and the entire correspondence. The recipient is notified by email of the arrival of new correspondence. In addition to the electronic document, Poczta Polska also forwards the letter to the specified address one month after its scanning.
In the first month since the service's launch, nearly 5,000 people have set up e-mail. One in ten users has already received their correspondence in electronic form. Please note that the service excludes mail sent by courts and tribunals, prosecutors' offices, other law enforcement agencies, and court bailiffs. Poczta Polska will continue to offer electronic mail delivery for registered mail until September 30th of this year.
