Things were happening! Poczta Polska played in the 33rd Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity
The Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, dedicated to pediatric oncology and hematology, is now behind us. The Polish Post has returned to play with Jurek Owsiak's orchestra. Special stamps, a stand on the grounds of the PGE Narodowy stadium, local attractions, and dedicated postal workers – all of this has already happened. But you can still support the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, for example, by bidding on postage stamps at auctions.
" The Polish Post is extremely active in stamp production. Every year, Polish stamps are created, distinguished by their meticulous craftsmanship and beautiful designs. Today, we admire stamps more often in albums (...) than at the post office itself, as letter writing is becoming increasingly rare. Stamps are printed at the Polish Security Printing Works, which ensures the highest quality ," encourages conductor Jurek Owsiak.
The Polish Post, in cooperation with the Security Printing Works, has created unique postage stamps and crypto stamps that are not only a symbol of support but also a true collector's item. Jurek Owsiak is one of their designers.
To support the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, you can bid on stamps at Allegro auctions: https://www.aukcje.wosp.org.pl/ . Commemorative stamps from the 33rd finale are also available for purchase online.
During the finale, which took place last Sunday, the Polish Post Office was present on the grounds of the PGE Narodowy Stadium, where it held a special postal tent distributing commemorative postcards and stamps to anyone who donated at least 5 złoty to the orchestra's collection box. Nearly 1,000 charity packages were mailed. Polish Post employees in traditional uniforms were also on hand to help send greeting cards to loved ones.
In Lublin, at the WOŚP headquarters, a historic 1938 Fiat 500 "Topolino" graced the main stage. Its elegance still captivates not only automotive history buffs. This unique car, painted in the colors of the Polish Post Office, attracted the attention of those attending the grand finale.
Modernity wasn't forgotten either – crypto stamps, combining tradition with innovation, were extremely popular. The limited edition NFT crypto envelopes sold out in just one hour! This proves that Poczta Polska can combine tradition with modernity, while effectively supporting noble causes.
Poles have donated nearly 50,000 PLN to the WOŚP account through money transfers. Donations can be made at any time, at any Polish Post office.
"Poczta Polska played with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity this year, and we are proud to be part of this initiative, which unites people around the idea of helping others. This mission is part of the DNA of this company," said Joanna Trzaska-Wieczorek, spokesperson for Poczta Polska.
