Thanks to eSkrzynka, registered letters can once again be delivered without leaving home

pp_1-1In less than three weeks since Poczta Polska relaunched its eSkrzynka service, nearly 4,500 people have used it. It's a convenient and secure way to receive correspondence, ensuring safe use of Poczta Polska services without direct contact with a postman or staff at a post office.

This is the second time the e-mail service has been launched. Poczta Polska first made it possible to set up an e-mail box and receive registered letters online at the end of April last year due to the threat of the coronavirus pandemic and the countermeasures implemented by institutions, organizations, and companies to limit its spread. The service was introduced thanks to regulations limited to September 30, 2020.

Due to high customer interest, who saw eSkrzynka as a modern, time-saving tool, eSkrzynka was reinstated from December 30, 2020, to September 30, 2021. Upon customer request, the Company processes incoming registered mail into an electronic document and makes it available in the user's eSkrzynka, set up using a secure trusted profile. Customers can register three different mailing addresses as part of the service.

The e-mail box contains both the scanned envelope and the correspondence, and the recipient is notified each time by email. Additionally, each shipment is physically sent to the designated mailing address directly to the recipient's mailbox one month after it is made available.

Those interested in setting up an e-Box can start the process by completing the form available here .

The service handles registered mail containing correspondence, excluding – in accordance with applicable regulations – mail sent by courts and tribunals, prosecutors’ offices and court bailiffs, as well as mail sent by law enforcement agencies, which will mark their mail with the inscription: “Not subject to digitization.”

Detailed information about the service is available in the regulations .
