e-Delivery: security and efficiency are priorities

E-Delivery became mandatory on January 1st for many public institutions, such as local governments and tax offices, as well as for professions of public trust (e.g., attorneys, legal advisors, and accountants). This means that these institutions and individuals must now use e-Delivery to send and receive official documents. Over half a million active e-Delivery mailboxes are already in operation, and ultimately, by 2025, over 28 million entities should be using e-Delivery.

The project aims to eliminate paper correspondence in official and administrative communications. Citizens are not obligated to use it; it merely facilitates the process. However, the e-Delivery requirement will be extended to businesses this year. The scale of this digital project is enormous.

During the integration of user systems with the e-Delivery system, problems may arise, which are reported to Poczta Polska, as the designated operator. Poczta Polska, as the system operator, constantly undertakes a number of optimization measures, and, where necessary, corrective measures, and implements changes aimed at accelerating the system. The most frequently reported problems with system speed are related to incorrect system configuration on the customer side.

Reported issues are carefully considered and are a priority for Poczta Polska. If delays in parcel delivery occur, the team actively collaborates with the parties involved to identify and eliminate the cause of the delay as quickly as possible.

Poczta Polska (Polish Post) reminds that throughout the past year, it has been conducting training for interested entities on the implementation of e-Delivery. We also encourage you to use the materials available on the websites of Poczta Polska and the Ministry of Digital Affairs:

Due to incoming questions about the security of personal data, Poczta Polska emphasizes that compliance with personal data protection regulations is a priority, and that communication via the e-Delivery system is completely secure. All procedures regarding the processing of personal data, including PESEL numbers, are fully compliant with the guidelines of the Ministry of Digital Affairs.
