This donation is another step by Poczta Polska in implementing its COVID-19 response program. A total of nearly 600,000 PLN has been allocated to medical institutions for this purpose.

The "Pocztowy Dar" Foundation has donated PLN 50,000 to the Healthcare Complex in Chełmno. The funds will be used to purchase cardiac monitors for the hospital's COVID-19 ward.

" Pocztowy Dar" (Polish Post) is supporting the efforts of institutions fighting the epidemic in many ways. One of these is financial support from the Pocztowy Dar (Postal Gift) Foundation for the purchase of specialized equipment for hospitals. The hospitals receiving the aid are selected by the Ministry of State Assets, following a recommendation from the Ministry of Health. I am convinced that thanks to this support, we will be able to help many patients and facilitate the daily duties of medical staff, " says Krzysztof Falkowski, Vice President of Poczta Polska.

Thanks to a donation from the "Pocztowy Dar" Foundation, the hospital in Chełmno will be able to purchase systems for monitoring basic vital signs – five cardiac monitors with a central unit. The devices will enable continuous assessment of ECG parameters, blood oxygen saturation, and blood pressure. The purchased cardiac monitors will be used in the treatment of patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection and those with post-infection complications. They are essential for the proper management of the therapeutic process.

" The Healthcare Center in Chełmno provides healthcare services related to the prevention, counteraction, and control of COVID-19, as well as the hospitalization of patients in other departments who, due to their health condition, require continued treatment due to COVID-19. The purchase of equipment financed by the "Pocztowy Dar" Foundation will significantly improve the quality of services provided and the work comfort of medical staff. On behalf of patients and physicians, I thank you for your support during this extremely difficult time for all of us, " emphasizes Marzanna Ossowska, director of the Healthcare Center in Chełmno.

To date, the Pocztowy Dar Foundation has supported a number of institutions fighting the coronavirus epidemic. With funds donated by entities within the Poczta Polska Group and individual donors, the Pocztowy Dar Foundation helps hospitals purchase expensive equipment that patients will be able to use for years to come. These devices are used both in patient diagnostics and in the treatment process. Recently, the Pocztowy Dar Foundation donated to University Hospital No. 2 named after Dr. Jan Biziel in Bydgoszcz for the purchase of an ultrasound machine with a needle navigation system and two high-flow nasal oxygen therapy devices. Last year, financial support was provided to several hospitals, including the Regional Blood Donation and Treatment Center in Białystok, which, thanks to the Foundation's funds, purchased a convalescent plasma analyzer.

" The funds to support the Foundation's hospitals come from designated funds from entities within the Poczta Polska Group and individual donors. There are now a significant number of them. Many have supported the Foundation more than once, often donating significant amounts. We sincerely thank them all. The Pocztowy Dar Foundation has been helping postal workers and their families for 10 years, and is currently supporting efforts to combat the epidemic. This is an important element of our work – we believe that by working together, we will overcome this difficult time ," says Bogusława Kłoda-Dębska, President of the Pocztowy Dar Foundation.

A relief fund for Poczta Polska employees and their families who have been severely affected by Covid-19 has also been established using funds donated to combat the coronavirus by entities within the Poczta Polska Group. The foundation is helping them, among other things, with the costs of treatment and rehabilitation.
