Henryk Sławik, "hero of three nations" on a postage stamp
The philatelic issue dedicated to the "hero of three nations" Henryk Sławik, honored with the title of "Righteous Among the Nations" and awarded the Order of the White Eagle, will go into circulation on July 26 this year.
To coincide with the stamp's launch, the Katowice Post Office No. 1 at 9 Pocztowa Street hosts an exhibition titled "This Is How Poland Pays – Henryk Sławik," designed by Dr. Tomasz Kurpierz from the Katowice Branch of the Institute of National Remembrance, Łukasz Kobiela, who also designed the postage stamp depicting the hero. The inscription on the stamp reads: "Henryk Sławik, Hero of Three Nations."
In addition to the commemorative stamp, Poczta Polska has issued a limited-edition First Day Cover (FDC) envelope. This envelope is issued on the first day of the stamp's circulation. It features a photograph of the Hungarian Parliament building in Budapest.
