Coming soon! A unique collector's edition – FILANOTA
This is a truly royal issue. A unique, limited, and numbered collector's edition that combines two fascinating worlds – notaphily, or the collecting of paper currency, and the well-known art of philately. To mark the 1,000th anniversary of Bolesław the Brave's coronation, Poczta Polska, in collaboration with the Polish Security Printing Works, has prepared an extraordinary set.

This elegant folder, designed by Joanna Fleszar-Haspert, features a postage stamp issued on April 18, 2025, commemorating the coronation of Poland's first king, and FILANOT—a unique banknote-sized graphic, stylistically and thematically linked to the stamp. FILANOT's designs were designed by Roch Stefaniak.
FILANOTA is an innovative form of collector's publication, born from a passion for philately and notophily – two fields differing in subject matter but united by attention to detail, symbolism, and the desire to preserve history in paper form. Both elements share a common numbering system, underscoring the unique character of this edition.
Three variants - three symbols of heritage
The first FILANOTA collection is available in three variants, each of which refers to important symbols and the legacy of Bolesław the Brave:
- “Sword” – the reverse is decorated with a drawing from the series “Gallery of Polish Kings” by Jan Matejko, symbolizing royal power and national identity;
- "Gniezno" – features a photograph of the Bolesław the Brave monument in Gniezno, taken by Paweł Martyszenko. The monument, a tribute to the cradle of Polish statehood, was designed by Rafał Nowak;
- "Crown" – presents a portrait of Bolesław the Brave by Jan Feliks Piwarski, based on a painting by Marcello Bacciarelli, located in the collection of the Museum of King Jan III Sobieski's Palace in Wilanów.
In the background of each variant there is an engraving by Karol Auer and Franciszek Smuglewicz "Bolesław the Brave striking the Golden Gate of Kiev with Szczerbiec" – a symbol of the triumph and power of the first king of Poland.
A polygraphic work of art
FILANOTY coins are not legal tender and are for collectors' use only. They were crafted with the utmost care, using modern printing technologies. They are available in three variants: green (MIECZ), blue (KORONA), and red (GNIEZNO). Each color variant is contained in a separate folder. Each coin has individual serial numbers and unique graphic motifs.
