Polish Post consultants have joined the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate's hotline

1024-400Poczta Polska Contact Center consultants are supporting the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate's hotline, which handles reports related to the pandemic. This initiative is part of a series of other initiatives undertaken by the postal operator to support institutions involved in the fight against the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

Twenty Polish Post consultants have been delegated to work with the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS). As of October 19, they have joined the team, which provides answers to questions regarding quarantine and isolation, procedures in the event of direct contact with a person infected with COVID-19, procedures in the event of school or preschool closure, and COVID-19 testing guidelines, as well as access to Poland and travel abroad.

" Poczta Polska is a strategic state-owned company, one of the largest enterprises in our country, which gives it the experience and potential to provide service support to state institutions in various areas of their operation during such a difficult time as our country is facing. The fight against the epidemic requires all of us to take special measures. Every day, we make every effort to help institutions on the front lines of the fight against COVID-19. Our employees support the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS) hotline, and we also provide logistical support services by delivering specialized equipment to hospitals and handling the storage and packaging of personal protective equipment, " says Tomasz Zdzikot, CEO of Poczta Polska.

In recent weeks, Poczta Polska has also delivered specialized equipment, including ventilators and cardiac monitors, to over 360 hospitals across the country. Postal workers also participated in the construction of a temporary hospital at the National Stadium in Warsaw. Poczta Polska vehicles collected 120 pallets of beds from the Material Reserves depots in Wąwał (Łódź Voivodeship) and Szepietowo (Podlaskie Voivodeship) needed to set up the temporary hospital.

" The involvement of Poczta Polska in the fight against COVID-19 demonstrates the special role the company plays in the country. As the largest employer and the largest infrastructure and logistics company, Poczta Polska is capable of carrying out complex tasks even in very short timeframes, while maintaining all sanitary requirements ," emphasizes Wiesław Włodek, Vice President of Poczta Polska.

Poczta Polska has its own professional contact center, which provides daily support to the company's customers, including through a hotline, and also serves its employees. This spring, postal workers from the Contact Center provided paid support to the National Health Fund (NFZ) hotline.

Since mid-March of this year, Poczta Polska has been participating in special campaigns organized in conjunction with the Ministry of Health. To date, the company has delivered personal protective equipment (PPE) to hospitals, primary healthcare centers, the Border Guard, pharmacies, and childcare centers, among other places. To combat the pandemic, Poczta Polska opened its sorting centers in Łódź and Grodzisk Mazowiecki to receive disinfection and protective materials. These were sorted and packaged into smaller packages on-site. They were then distributed to medical facilities across the country, in accordance with Ministry of Health guidelines.
