E_BOX_300x300The Ministry of Digital Affairs and Poczta Polska are introducing a new service that will enable the collection of registered mail electronically without the need for direct service at the place of residence or at a post office.

Poczta Polska will process incoming registered mail into an electronic document and make the envelope and contents of the mail available in the User's e-mail account set up using a trusted profile. Additionally, each shipment will be sent to the specified address one month after it is made available.

The service will handle registered mail containing correspondence, excluding mail sent by courts and tribunals, prosecutors' offices and other law enforcement agencies, and court bailiffs.

To use the service, you must have a trusted profile. The process of setting up a mailbox can be initiated by completing the form available here . Citizens can also find all information about the service, including the option to set up an e-mail box, on a dedicated page on the gov.pl portal .

The option to receive registered mail electronically will be available until September 30th of this year. Detailed information about the service is available in the regulations .

The Polish Post Scanning Center meets the requirements of the ISO/IEC 27001 standard and holds a certificate of compliance with this standard for document processing and scanning services. Furthermore, the Scanning Center's staff holds security clearances in accordance with the Classified Information Protection Act.

The service is provided pursuant to Article 15 zzu1 et seq. of the Act of April 16, 2020, on specific support instruments in connection with the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Poczta Polska, as the Designated Postal Operator, performs the task of providing postal services in a manner that limits direct service to interested parties in order to prevent and combat infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus and the spread of the infectious disease COVID-19 caused by this virus among people.
