Senders of all parcels will be served in dedicated windows
The Polish Post Office is expanding the list of services available at fast track kiosks. Customers can use them for all parcel services, especially electronic ones. Poczta Polska has designated 550 such points across the country, and soon there will be even more – starting December 15th, there will be 652.
Initially, dedicated windows were available to customers collecting parcels using the Pick-Up Point service, those sending parcels via the Envelo platform, the Electronic Sender system, or the Send a Parcel app. Now, especially during the peak season, all customers sending parcels at post offices can take advantage of these facilities. However, due to the very positive customer reception, full and priority parcel services at these dedicated windows will be permanently implemented.
This solution is intended to speed up and improve service during the holiday peak period, when the number of parcels sent can increase by up to 70% per week.
" Improving parcel handling during the holiday season is another initiative by Poczta Polska that aligns with the company's strategy. We consistently focus on developing services that can benefit the e-commerce industry. This is especially important in the run-up to Christmas, when the number of parcels sent has already increased by 50% compared to other weeks of the year, and we expect even more in the coming weeks, " says Andrzej Bodziony, Vice President of Poczta Polska.
Fast track points have been marked with special stickers, making it easy to identify where senders will receive priority service. These points can be found in all voivodeships, and their number will soon increase to 652.
Poczta Polska expected Poles to once again turn to online shopping during this year's parcel peak, as they have in previous years. The number of parcels shipped is growing week by week, and the new solution will streamline the sending and receiving of holiday gifts. A detailed list of locations is available here .
The post office has also hired additional staff to handle the growing number of parcels; over 1,500 people have joined postal workers across the country, and recruitment is still ongoing.
