Poczta Polska's new fleet is complete. A total of over a thousand new delivery vehicles have arrived.

1190-670Poczta Polska SA has just completed the next stage of its fleet modernization. The company has received the last of the contracted new delivery vehicles. Currently, the national operator has over a thousand of these vehicles at its disposal as part of the fleet replacement program. The new vehicles are one of many changes to postal logistics, implemented to improve the quality of services offered and more efficiently handle the growing volume of shipments. The largest number of new vehicles were delivered to the Wielkopolska Voivodeship.

Poczta Polska is systematically increasing its share of the CEP market (courier, express, and parcel shipments) through ongoing investments. A modern fleet is part of the company's strategy, which aims to expand into the most promising sectors. Fleet replacement is one of a series of changes to postal logistics aimed at improving both the efficiency of this area and the quality of services provided.

"We want to be increasingly competitive in the field of logistics services provided to both individual customers and our business partners. One of the key requirements for achieving this goal is investing in a state-of-the-art fleet dedicated to handling the growing volume of cargo shipments. This modern fleet will make our services even more efficient, " says Tomasz Zdzikot, CEO of Poczta Polska SA.

The new vehicles will ensure efficient and more ecological transport of courier parcels, service for business customers, mainly e-shops, as well as logistics connections between sorting plants and post offices.

The agreements with the suppliers of leased delivery vehicles are the result of a tender process conducted by Poczta Polska. They were concluded with ING Lease and PKO Leasing SA. The order was carried out in two stages – the first shipment of part of the new fleet, consisting of 452 vehicles, arrived in 2020. The next shipment, comprising over 600 delivery vehicles, is currently being processed.

The modernization of the Poczta Polska fleet will also significantly improve the daily work of drivers – postal employees who transport parcels. The ordered Peugeot vehicles have a payload capacity ranging from 0.5 to 1.7 tons, ensuring the completion of a variety of transport tasks. The supplied Iveco trucks have a payload capacity of up to 8 tons. They have a van body and are equipped with loading platforms with a load capacity of 2 tons.

The largest number of new cars went to the Greater Poland Voivodeship.

Poczta Polska currently operates over 5,000 delivery vehicles of various types, including 20 electric vehicles. It operates a network of 7,600 post offices and transports approximately 1.4 billion parcels annually.
