New customs regulations for shipments to Argentina - obligation to provide a CUIT number
Poczta Polska informs that in accordance with the current regulations introduced by the Argentine postal operator – Correo Argentino – there have been changes in customs procedures for international shipments containing goods sent to this country.
To ensure efficient shipment processing and avoid delays in customs clearance, please read the information below.
Key information:
Obligation to provide the CUIT identification number
- Every shipment containing goods destined for Argentina must include the recipient's CUIT number.
- The CUIT (Clave Única de Identificación Tributaria) is an individual tax identification number issued to individuals and legal entities in Argentina.
The number format is: XX-XXXXXXXXX-X . - The CUIT number should be placed:
- on the shipment address label or
- in the appropriate field of the CN 23 customs declaration.
When the CUIT number is not provided by the sender
In the absence of a CUIT number on the shipment, the recipient can complete this data themselves before customs clearance begins, via the platform in the "Puerta a Puerta" available at: www.correoargentino.com.ar

To avoid delays in processing shipments and ensure efficient customs clearance, Poczta Polska recommends sending shipments containing goods destined for Argentina with complete recipient details, including the CUIT identification number .
