A new way to collect parcels in Żabka stores
With customer safety in mind, the Żabka chain is changing the rules for parcel delivery. When delivering parcels, the cashier will ask the recipient for a code, which they will then enter at the register. This new system solution aims to protect users of Żabka store pickup points and limit their contact with the payment terminal when entering their PIN.
Consumers can collect their parcels at one of over 6,100 Żabka stores – all of them have implemented a new code entry system. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the chain encourages consumers to combine parcel collection and store visits with shopping for essential items, to reduce the need to leave home.
Poczta Polska, together with its partners, has introduced additional security measures and changes to the parcel collection process to increase the safety of employees and customers using the Pick-Up Point service. Currently, all parcels and courier shipments can be collected without a receipt.
The main advantage of the Pick-Up Point service is its flexibility. Customers decide when and where to pick up their parcel. They can do this while filling up their car, buying newspapers, or doing their daily shopping at Żabka stores.
