We have already processed over 195,000 election packages.

elections_July 12Until tomorrow (July 10th), Poczta Polska will deliver election packages to people in quarantine, isolation, or home isolation. As in the first round of the presidential election, residents of Baranów (Greater Poland Voivodeship) and Marklowice (Silesian Voivodeship) will be able to cast their votes by mail.

City and municipal offices have so far delivered nearly 197,000 election packages, of which the Polish Post has already processed over 195,000. In Baranów, over 2,800 election packages were sent for delivery, and in Marklowice, 3,500.

The Polish Post Office is delivering election packages before July 12th, following exactly the same rules as before the first round of the presidential election. Election packages are distributed by a commission, i.e., by an election package distribution committee consisting of a postman and a team member.

Election packages are delivered by two-person commissions to recipients' mailboxes, with the exception of packages for people with disabilities and those in quarantine, which have the "door delivery" information marked on the envelope. Eighteen percent of packages were delivered this way, and over 80% were delivered to mailboxes.

In cases where mailboxes are missing, damaged, or the mailbox cannot be used (e.g., due to overflow), election packages will be delivered by mail. According to regulations, the deadline for collecting the mailbox containing the election package is one day from the date the notification is left. Post offices will only issue election packages with notification during their opening hours.

To facilitate voting, people with disabilities and those in quarantine can vote immediately upon receiving their ballot. In this case, the delivery team will wait 10 minutes to deposit the ballot into a mobile drop box, designated for return envelopes, left at the door or in front of the property.

According to regulations, the completed package can be returned to the appropriate municipal office or district election commission on election day, which is the following Sunday. Alternatively, the package can be dropped off in the red mailbox. However, this must be done no later than this Friday (July 10).

The Polish Post Office places great importance on ensuring the security of the entire postal voting process. Voter packages, as well as return envelopes, are stored securely, including in strongboxes, secure cabinets, or separate, secure rooms. All voting packages, both those in mailboxes and those not collected from post offices, will be delivered to the district electoral commissions on Sunday, July 12th.
