Grandmother's Day and Grandfather's Day offer available at post offices
Post offices offer a wide selection of year-round products, as well as special-occasion items available exclusively for important events and dates. Grandmother's Day and Grandfather's Day, celebrated on January 21st and 22nd, are undoubtedly one of them.
This year, customers can choose from nearly 240 items – from numerous categories and in various price ranges. These include beautiful cards and greeting cards, decorative items and gadgets – decorative pillows, decorative magnets, mugs, cups, sweets, books – both hobby and health advice, stationery, and haberdashery. Gifts can be wrapped in commercially available gift bags and wrapping supplies, and adorned with decorative rosettes. The selection is wide – customers will find gifts for grandparents of all ages and interests, from small to more expensive gifts for long-term use, and without special occasion prints. Furthermore, calendars – wall, desk, and book – are still available, making great gifts and sure to be useful for grandparents.
"Seasonal products are a significant addition to the offerings available at post offices. We monitor sales trends to better tailor products to customer expectations. Visitors to our offices can expect a variety of interesting, and useful items: from special occasion cards and stationery to a wide range of books and gifts for every occasion. The selection is wide and the prices are affordable," says Daniel Witowski, spokesperson for Poczta Polska.
The idea to celebrate Grandmother's Day in Poland appeared in 1964 in the weekly "Kobieta i Życie." Grandfather's Day has been celebrated since the 1970s. Polish Television then organized a competition to determine its date. Ultimately, it was decided that it would be celebrated the day after Grandmother's Day.
Postal goods remain the foundation of the retail offer at branches: envelopes, cardboard packaging, packaging sets, ribbons, postcards, postcards, and special occasion cards. Stationery and office supplies, toys, games, books, and newspapers are also available year-round. Seasonally, Poczta Polska offers products related to various events and holidays. The Grandmother's Day and Grandfather's Day offer is available until January 27th.
