Statement regarding the Personal Data Protection Office's announcement
In connection with the announcement of the Personal Data Protection Office published on September 2nd of this year, the Management Board of Poczta Polska expresses its surprise at the practice of formulating assessments in the nature of a public warning without prior, substantive exchange of positions between the institutions.
Poczta Polska consistently responds to every request from supervisory authorities. We maintain a dialogue with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) on matters concerning data protection and shipment security, making it even more difficult to justify the purpose of publishing correspondence between the Office and the company.
We would like to remind you that the Company's activities to date – including those related to e-Delivery – have been positively assessed by the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO). Communication via media cannot replace substantive cooperation.
The Management Board of Poczta Polska emphasizes its openness to direct dialogue, and the Company continually responds to concerns about the quality of its services. We are aware of the scale of the challenges related to shipment security and personal data protection and take them seriously.
Poczta Polska serves as the designated operator. We serve over 15 million addresses, delivering approximately 3.5 million letters daily, and cooperate with all sectors of the state – from courts to local administration. Given the scale of our operations, we treat every report with the utmost seriousness. Reported incidents are subject to detailed analysis.
Our primary goal remains improving the quality of services for citizens and public institutions.
