We deliver election packages for postal voters conveniently and safely

DSC_6069_referencePoczta Polska will deliver at least 194,000 election packages before the second round of the presidential election. This number has already been transferred to the company for delivery. Distribution of the packages began on Monday, July 6, across Poland and will continue until July 10.

Before June 28th, the first round of the presidential election, Polish Post employees delivered 174,000 election packages. Currently, the number of voters who chose to vote by mail has increased by over 20,000. Additionally, postal workers are serving people in quarantine, isolation, or home confinement. Special rules apply to this group; they will receive their ballots no later than two days before the election, on July 10th.

Election packages are sent by municipal offices exclusively as registered mail. Election packages are marked with a special imprint: "Przesyłka Wyborcza." The envelope contains the ballot, voting instructions, a declaration of in-person and secret ballot casting, a return envelope marked "Przesyłka Wyborcza" (ELECTION PACKAGE) and information about postage exemption, and a ballot envelope marked "BALLOT CARD ENVELOPE."

After casting your vote and completing the declaration, seal the envelope and place it in the red mailbox in the municipality where the district electoral commission responsible for the voter's list is located. A detailed map of mailboxes is available here . Voters can drop the envelope in the mailbox or take it to their municipal office by July 10th, next Friday. Envelopes can also be dropped off directly at the district electoral commission on election day.

Two-person teams of postal workers deliver the packages. Packages are delivered to mailboxes or "door-to-door" if such instructions are included on the envelope. If the team of postal workers was unable to deliver the package and left a notice, the voter has one day to collect the election package waiting at the designated post office.

All Poczta Polska employees are receiving disposable gloves, protective masks, disinfectants, and face shields on an ongoing basis. Additionally, those delivering ballots to those in quarantine during the presidential election are equipped with FFP2 masks and protective aprons. People with disabilities and those in quarantine can return their ballots to the postman after casting their ballot. If a voter wishes to do so, they must notify the postman, who will place a mobile mailbox at their door and wait no longer than 10 minutes for the return envelope to be deposited in the mailbox.
