The first ever "Book of Postcards" now on sale
Poczta Polska has prepared a real treat not only for philatelists. Its latest philatelic publication is now available to customers – the first in the company's history, "Book of Postcards 2020."
The "Book of Postcards 2020" is a collection of all postcards with a printed postage mark issued by Poczta Polska in 2020. This first publication of its kind on the domestic market will see the light of day this year and is a response to the expectations of customers and philatelic enthusiasts who wanted to enrich their collections with a collection of postcards.
Modeled on the layout of the "Book of Postal Stamps 2020," it is intended to form a complete set of Poczta Polska's philatelic publications from 2020. According to experts, both books are graphically very consistent. The only differences are in volume and format – the "KKP 2020" is slightly slimmer but wider than its "stamp" sister.
For 463 years, Poczta Polska has proudly and humbly served the Polish public, and for 162 years, it has done so in a special way – through its philatelic publications. The "2020 Postcard Book" is the company's latest offering, intended by its authors to stimulate thought, move people, educate, and preserve the memory of the most outstanding Poles and the most important events in our country's history.
"KKP 2020" presents cards dedicated to the anniversaries of historical events, honors figures who have made significant contributions to Poland and the world, and highlights important issues of our time. Particularly noteworthy are items related to Polish history: "100th Anniversary of Toruń's Return to a Free Poland," "100th Anniversary of the Battle of Komarów," and "December '70." Cards honoring outstanding Poles: "Major Hubal Remembrance Day," "Stanisław Tadeusz Srzednicki, Pomian coat of arms – founder of the judiciary in Reborn Poland," and "First Dame of the Order of Virtuti Militari in the Second Polish Republic – Teresa Grodzińska," are excellent examples of Poczta Polska fulfilling its educational mission. Items such as "International Year of Plant Health" highlight the need to raise public awareness of the importance and impact of plant health on issues of hunger, poverty, and food security.
This unique philatelic publication – a numbered, limited edition of 100 copies – presents 23 issues on 54 pages, displayed on 27 sheets with a printed postage stamp. Each issue is also accompanied by a date stamp.
