The beginning of the end of paper notifications: over a million digital registered letters have already been sent and received in the e-Delivery system

Poczta Polska (Polish Post) is announcing another significant achievement in the operation of its e-Delivery system. Currently, the number of e-Delivery mailboxes exceeds 800,000, and over 1 million digital registered letters have been sent and received fully online. This signals that electronic document exchange is gaining popularity among citizens, offices, and businesses in Poland.

The total number of parcels sent via the e-Delivery system now exceeds 8.5 million. Most of these documents were sent via the Public Hybrid Service (PUH, i.e., electronic delivery with traditional delivery), and as many as 78% of Public Registered Electronic Delivery Service (PURDE) parcels were sent between public entities. This reflects the rapidly advancing digitization of public administration communications.

Last month, a record number of all parcels sent via the e-Delivery system was recorded, reaching over 8.5 million. Most of these documents were sent via the Public Hybrid Service (PUH, i.e., electronic delivery with traditional delivery), and a full 78% of Public Registered Electronic Delivery Service (PURDE) parcels were sent between public entities. This reflects the rapidly advancing digitization of public administration communications.

In response to new legal regulations and growing demand, Poczta Polska continues to work on improving its e-Delivery system. Since the beginning of the year, public institutions and professions of public trust (including attorneys and legal counselors) have been required to use the system for official communications. As of April 1, it will become mandatory for some businesses. Read more here: https://media.poczta-polska.pl/releases/poczta-polska-jest-got-na-rozszerzenie-obowiazku-e-doreczen-od-1-kwietnia.

The e-Delivery system is becoming the standard for document exchange, offering citizens and businesses a fast, secure, and convenient way to communicate. That's why Poczta Polska encourages people to activate e-Delivery mailboxes and take advantage of the full range of possibilities offered by digital communication.

About the system

The e-Delivery system enables the electronic exchange of documents with confirmation of receipt. Its operation is based on the Act of 18 November 2020 on Electronic Delivery (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 2320), which regulates the operation of the public electronic delivery system. This system is part of the process of digitizing and modernizing communication between public administration, businesses, and citizens, ensuring the legal equivalence of electronic and traditional delivery.

Using the ADE mailbox, you can also activate the e-Polecony service and send and receive e-Registered letters. Unlike e-Delivery, which is intended for electronic communication with public entities, e-Registered letters are used for correspondence between non-public entities (e.g., between two individuals).
