The beginning of the end of paper delivery notices. Poczta Polska is implementing e-Delivery.

E-Delivery is an electronic version of traditional registered mail. This modern solution enables secure sending and receiving of documents with official confirmation that the message has been sent and received. Starting January 1st, the service will be mandatory for public institutions and professions of public trust. This represents a significant simplification for individual users.

Thanks to e-Delivery, you will no longer have to go to the post office to pick up or send important documents, and the entire process can be completed online, from anywhere with internet access.

Who is covered by this obligation?
As of January 1, 2025, e-Delivery is mandatory for various public institutions (such as local governments and tax offices) and for professions of public trust (e.g., attorneys, legal advisors, and accountants). This means that these institutions and individuals will be required to use e-Delivery to send and receive official documents. It will not be mandatory for citizens.

Individuals and
citizens will decide for themselves whether they want to use e-Delivery. For those who don't want or can't use this electronic form of communication, Poczta Polska offers an alternative: the Public Hybrid Service (PUH). Thanks to this service, if the sender sends a document electronically and the recipient doesn't have an e-Delivery mailbox, Poczta Polska will print the document (securely and automatically) and deliver it to their home, as before.

How to Get Started with e-Delivery
To start using e-Delivery, simply set up a digital inbox. It's a bit like creating a new email account, but with additional security steps to ensure everything is official and secure. To have such an inbox, you need to apply for an Electronic Delivery Address (ADE) – this can be done at: http://edoreczenia.gov.pl. Once you have your ADE, you can activate your e-Delivery inbox and start using it. It's almost as simple as using an email inbox, but much more secure.

What is e-Registered?
Using the ADE mailbox, you can also activate the e-Polecony and send and receive e-Registered messages. Unlike e-Delivery, which is intended for electronic communication with public entities, e-Registered messages are used for correspondence between non-public entities (e.g., between two individuals). Both services can be managed using a single mailbox.
