The post office also delivers parcels on weekends
During the pre-holiday period, Poczta Polska couriers deliver parcels not only on weekdays. Residents of several cities in several voivodeships across Poland can also expect a postman's visit on Saturdays.
Poczta Polska (Polish Post) is constantly handling a rapidly growing volume of shipments, a significant portion of which are gifts and orders from online stores. To ensure parcels reach their recipients on time, meaning before the first star appears on Christmas Eve, the company's couriers have also begun delivering on Saturday.
This Saturday, Poczta Polska customers can expect parcels in and around Białystok, Radom, Poznań, Kalisz, Ostrów Wielkopolski, Zielona Góra, Gorzów Wielkopolski, Kraków, Bydgoszcz, Włocławek, Lublin, Radzyń Podlaski, Łódź, Pruszcz Gdański, Rzeszów, Szczecin, Warsaw, Ostrołęka, Ciechanów, Siedlce, Płock, Wrocław and Zabrze.
"Delivering parcels containing many holiday gifts is a particularly responsible task. Christmas is a busy time for us, but we've been preparing for it for several months. We've launched an additional recruitment campaign and are currently expanding the list of locations served by our couriers on Saturdays and Sundays. Efficient handling of highly anticipated parcels is our priority," says Daniel Witowski, spokesperson for Poczta Polska.
Depending on current needs, parcels are planned to be delivered on Saturdays (and even on Sundays in Warsaw) and on December 24 in other Polish cities.
Poczta Polska reminds that parcels can also be collected from selected collection points throughout the country. As of December 9th, Pocztex parcels can also be sent from Żabka stores. A list of collection points is available here.
