Poczta Polska is updating its domestic letter price list. Changes effective January 1, 2022.

As of January 1, 2022, the "Price List for Universal Postal Services in Domestic and International Trade" will be modified. This will be the first price adjustment for letter items sent to recipients in Poland in three years. The changes have already been adopted by the President of the Office of Electronic Communications.

Poczta Polska, as the designated operator, ensures access to universal postal services for all citizens, provided to a high standard, in a uniform manner, and on comparable terms. To this end, the Company maintains an extensive network of post offices and mailboxes throughout the country. Access to the designated operator's services is available five days a week (and in some cases, even seven days a week) throughout Poland. Under applicable postal law, Poczta Polska cannot close unprofitable offices or eliminate loss-making services. Such obligations do not affect competitors. Other entities operating in the postal services market, unlike the Company, can only be guided by business calculations and cost efficiency.

New price list from January 1, 2022

Year-on-year increases in labor and transportation costs, a global increase in the prices of raw materials used by the Company, and declining letter volumes, combined with continued high investment in improving market competitiveness, have prompted the first price adjustment for domestic mail in three years. The scale of price increases for selected domestic services ranges from 2% to a maximum of 11%. For example, the price of popular unregistered economy letters, in the most popular S and M formats, will increase by 0.30 PLN. Meanwhile, the fee for registered priority mail, in the basic S format (which includes an envelope that can fit an A4 sheet folded in half), will increase by just 0.10 PLN.

It's worth emphasizing that for the average Pole, who sends fewer and fewer letters, this will mean an additional expense of several złotys per year. For Poczta Polska, even a small price adjustment translates into additional revenue growth, enabling the opening of new post offices and maintaining those less frequently visited by customers, located in rural areas.

The applicable prices for international shipments and parcels will remain unchanged.
