The Polish Post Office is playing with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity! Until the end of the world and one day longer.
The Polish Post Office is back in action with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. The 33rd Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is dedicated to pediatric oncology and hematology, with the main theme being the safety and health of children. Therefore, Jurek Owsiak's orchestra couldn't be without the postal trumpet.
Back in November, Poczta Polska, together with the Polish State Security Printing Works, presented a traditional postage stamp and a crypto-stamp dedicated to the 33rd Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity . Post President Sebastian Mikosz said at the time:
– After a years' break, we're playing for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity again. I'm especially pleased because Poczta Polska has a long tradition of helping others. We do this constantly, as it's an integral part of our postal tradition. I hope that the numbered collection we've prepared will fetch a high bid, thus contributing to helping those in need.
The WOŚP stamps were designed by Jerzy Owsiak and Katarzyna Sasin and produced by the Polish Security Printing Works, the sole producer of circulation, commemorative, and special stamps for the Polish Post. A total of 144,000 stamps were printed for the 33rd Grand Finale.
The conductor of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity encourages people to send cards and letters that carry a positive message:
" The most beautiful home of our finale is Poland, and we create the most beautiful Poland in every corner of the world where Poles and the Orchestra play. May these four seasons tell everyone about the Foundation's year-round work, which saves the health and lives of Poles. May a smile appear on your faces, and may the letters carried with these stamps bring only good news, " says Jerzy Owsiak.
Crypto stamps for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity
Poczta Polska is also launching a special collection of crypto stamps, "The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity." The crypto stamps consist of a traditional postage stamp and a digital equivalent in the form of an NFT token, which can be incorporated into a digital collection and exchanged and sold. The limited edition includes 3,000 pieces in the perforated version and 3,000 pieces in the imperforate version. They are accompanied by NFT crypto envelopes, which sold out within the first hour of sale. Poczta Polska crypto stamps are innovative philatelic products combining traditional postal stamps with their digital counterparts.
Polish Post at the Orchestra Finale
On January 26th, Poczta Polska will be present at the PGE Narodowy Stadium in Warsaw, where the main studio for the WOŚP Grand Finale and the concert hall are located. In the postal tent, anyone who donates at least 5 złoty to the orchestra's collection box will receive a commemorative stamp and a postcard. The postcard can be signed and sent to a loved one on-site. Poczta Polska employees in traditional uniforms, as well as Sebastian Mikosz, President of Poczta Polska, will be present in the studio.

The main headquarters in Lublin (Galeria Olimp, Al. Spółdzielczości Pracy 34) will be graced by a beautiful vintage car in the colors and logo of Poczta Polska. It is a unique Fiat 500 "Topolino" from 1938, 90% original and still running.
The Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity will take place this Sunday, January 26th, and its goal is to support the treatment of children with cancer and other serious hematological diseases. The funds raised will be used to equip 18 pediatric wards, 17 hospices, 5 oncological neurosurgery centers, 6 oncological surgery centers, and 4 pathology departments. Staff groups around the world and numerous institutions, including the Polish Post and the Polish Security Printing Works, will once again participate in the campaign.
