Poczta Polska is ready to extend the e-Delivery obligation from April 1

On April 1, 2025, the e-Delivery system will be mandatory for businesses registered in the National Court Register before the beginning of this year. The e-Delivery Extension Program, co-hosted by the Ministry of Digital Affairs and the Ministry of Development and Technology, aims to digitize business correspondence, increase its security and efficiency, and reduce costs.

What is e-Delivery?

E-Delivery is an innovative service that enables the secure sending, receiving, and storing of correspondence electronically. Thanks to its trust service status, e-Delivery offers a guarantee of legal certainty equivalent to traditional registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt. As of January 1st of this year, the obligation to have e-Delivery mailboxes and to send correspondence in this manner applies to public institutions and professions of public trust.

A key date:

As of April 1st, 2025, the obligation to use e-Delivery will apply to companies registered in the National Court Register (KRS) by the end of last year. This means several hundred thousand new users of the system.

Poczta Polska, as the system operator, is prepared to maintain the smooth operation of the service even with the increased number of system users. Experience to date has been positive, and the scale of problems is marginal, considering that the number of parcels shipped already exceeds 7 million.

So you can start using e-Delivery today.

Benefits of e-Delivery:

1. Security and confidentiality of correspondence, ensured by the unambiguous identification of the sender and recipient and the use of advanced encryption technology.
2. Data integrity: a guarantee that the transmitted information will remain unchanged and untouched.
3. Proof of sending and receipt: messages sent from the e-Delivery address contain the necessary proof, recognized by state institutions.
4. Access to information: simplified correspondence management thanks to access to the date and time of sending and receiving messages, as well as correspondence history.

How to start using e-Delivery?

The process of implementing e-Delivery for businesses is simple and intuitive. The first step is to create an e-Delivery address (AED) by submitting an application on the Biznes.gov.pl . After activating the address, the business gains access to a free e-Delivery mailbox, which allows for full management of electronic correspondence. The system is operated by Poczta Polska.

The beginning of the end of paper notifications.

E-Delivery brings a number of benefits to businesses, including significant time savings and reduced costs associated with traditional mailing. Additionally, the system ensures a higher level of data security and simplifies the management of corporate documentation.
