Poczta Polska is a woman: more women among postal workers

Poczta Polska is a female-owned company. And not just in name. Women constitute 55.5% of the entire staff. Most women work in sales (serving customers at branches), as postal workers, acquiring key accounts, and supporting sales in administrative services.

Poczta Polska employs over 55,000 people, of whom over 30,000 are women. Most of them work in sales, broadly defined, but the company also employs more women than men in finance and accounting, HR, marketing and promotion, cash logistics, complaints, and operational support. More women than men will also hold the new position of District Manager, where they will manage several dozen post offices.

Women are also present on the company's Management Board and Supervisory Board. Joanna Drozd serves as Vice President for Human Resources, and the seven-person Supervisory Board of Poczta Polska is majority female.

Women tend to stay with the company longer, working on average for over 18 years. Women have longer tenure than men, for example, in managerial positions at post offices. This may be due to the widespread use of internal recruitment at Poczta Polska. Many employees started their careers as postmen or customer service workers, later advancing to directorships or management positions. Men employed as postmen, drivers, and security guards, on the other hand, have worked at Poczta Polska longer.

Geographic analysis shows that Poczta Polska employs significantly more women than men in the Silesian and Masovian Voivodeships. In the remaining voivodeships, the differences are small, with one gender being more favorable than the other. Women tend to stay with the company longer than men in the Podlaskie and Silesian Voivodeships, but shorter in the Warmian-Masurian, Lower Silesian, Lubusz, and Świętokrzyskie Voivodeships.

" I thank all the women working at Poczta Polska. Every day, but especially during this difficult time of transformation for the company, the calm, empathy, and professionalism you bring is especially needed. All the best! " says Sebastian Mikosz, President of Poczta Polska.

According to data from the Central Statistical Office (GUS), at the end of July 2024, the number of people working in the national economy was 15.1 million, of whom women accounted for approximately 47.2%, or 7.12 million people. Poczta Polska is proud to contribute to balancing these proportions.
