Poczta Polska processed half a million applications for co-financing the purchase of a digital receiver

500,000 applications for subsidy for the purchase of a digital receiver have been submitted to Poczta Polska (Polish Post) offices so far. Customers are increasingly opting to acquire a device capable of receiving the new television standard at the company's offices and branches. It's worth noting that the subsidy program runs until December 31, 2022, and benefits can be claimed and redeemed until then.

Poczta Polska (Polish Post) launched processing applications for subsidies for receiver purchases on March 21st of this year, in conjunction with the change in the digital terrestrial television broadcasting standard. Using the national postal operator's extensive infrastructure, with a network of several thousand branches nationwide, customers can conveniently, quickly, and conveniently apply for a voucher.

Applying for a digital receiver benefit is possible online, via the website , or at Poczta Polska (Polish Post) offices located throughout the country. By far the most popular way for Poles to obtain a digital receiver benefit, capable of receiving DVB-T2/HEVC terrestrial television, is to visit a post office or its branch.

" The half-million applications for subsidies for the purchase of digital receivers submitted to Poczta Polska offices and branches so far is a truly impressive number. It also demonstrates the importance of maintaining a well-developed network of branches across the country. Customers appreciate the ubiquity and proximity of Post Office branches. Our branches offer a wide range of services, and our constantly expanding offerings are fueling growing interest from visitors to our offices and branches, " notes Krzysztof Falkowski, President of the Management Board of Poczta Polska SA.

Subsidies for the purchase of digital receivers depend on the type of receiver and amount to PLN 250 for a television and PLN 100 for a decoder. The transition from DVB-T to DVB-T2/HEVC was implemented regionally, in stages. The most recent switchover took place on June 27th of this year in the northeastern part of the country, covering the following voivodeships: Warmian-Masurian, Podlaskie, Masovian, and Lublin. Those who have lost access to television reception can still apply for subsidies for the purchase of a digital receiver; the subsidy program will run until the end of December.
