Poczta Polska opens a post office at the Central Railway Station
Thanks to the cooperation between Poczta Polska and PKP SA, customers can now use a new post office at Warsaw's Central Station. This is the first of several branches to open to Warsaw residents this year. Others will be opened in Wilanów, Port Praski, and Bemowo, among other locations.
Over 20 million passengers use Warsaw Central Station annually. By opening a new post office branch there, Poczta Polska (Polish Post) is providing its customers with faster and more convenient service while traveling. The location of the branch is also centrally located in the city center, near office buildings, hotels, and shopping malls, which could translate into new customer acquisition for Poczta Polska.
The branch will offer a full range of postal services, as well as selected contractual and financial services, every day of the week, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Additionally, the branch has been equipped with a set of post office boxes and will be accessible to people with disabilities.
The branch at Central Station is the first of twelve new customer service points that Poczta Polska plans to open in Warsaw in 2019. Six more branches will be opened in the capital (in Białołęka, Bemowo, two in Bielany, Port Praski, and Wilanów) and five postal agencies (in Bemowo, Bielany, Ursynów, and two in Wola). The company also plans investments and renovations in nearly 30 existing branches in the capital.
The Polish Post Office strives to open branches in locations attractive to customers, such as shopping malls and offices. In January of this year, the Post Office opened a branch at the Brzesko-Okocim railway station.
Currently, Poczta Polska (Polish Post) has a network of 252 post offices in the capital, including three open 24 hours a day and 27 open after 8:00 PM. Additionally, Warsaw has 15 self-service 24-hour zones where you can conveniently send and collect letters and parcels, and obtain information on the current status of your shipment. Over the past three years, 24 new post offices have been opened in Warsaw, and the number of postal workers has increased by 74.
Last year, Poczta Polska opened 76 new branches nationwide, located in both small towns and urban areas. This year, in line with the company's strategy, the branch network will continue to expand. Another key element of the strategy is the revitalization and modernization of existing branches.
