Poczta Polska signed an agreement with the Material Reserves Agency
Poczta Polska, one of the largest logistics companies in the country, is expanding its cooperation with the Material Reserves Agency (ARMA) in the implementation of operational and logistical activities. An agreement was signed on Monday (December 14, 2012).
The recent months of the pandemic have demonstrated that cooperation between state institutions and state-owned companies is crucial in the fight against the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Poczta Polska demonstrated that its infrastructure and logistics resources can be effectively utilized in crisis situations. The post office continued to actively participate in the transport of medical devices and personal protective equipment, while postal sorting centers were used as storage facilities for disinfection and protective materials, as well as medical devices. A key factor in these operations was maintaining all safety standards, ensuring timely delivery, and ensuring the availability of shipments, which is particularly important given the nature of the cargo being transported. Furthermore, Poczta Polska provided logistics services, ensuring the transport of materials and equipment to local units of the Material Reserves Agency.
" The current epidemic requires special mobilization from everyone. Despite the difficulties, Poczta Polska (Polish Post) continues to operate uninterrupted and fulfill its mission. We are successfully leveraging our infrastructure and logistical experience to provide services to institutions fighting the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Depending on the situation, we are implementing a range of solutions to serve the state, employees, and customers. We greatly value our cooperation with the Material Reserves Agency, which is currently a key link in the national security system, " said Tomasz Zdzikot, CEO of Poczta Polska.
The agreement on cooperation between the Polish Post and the Material Reserves Agency provides that both institutions will undertake operational and logistical cooperation in order to increase the level of security at the national and institutional level and crisis management.
" Poczta Polska is one of our key logistics partners, thanks to which we can efficiently carry out our tasks for national security. Our cooperation ensures a stable and continuous supply chain of materials distributed from our warehouses. I am pleased that thanks to our cooperation with Poczta Polska, we are carrying out the tasks entrusted to us every day and effectively supporting the state in the fight against the pandemic. By concluding the agreement today, we are, on the one hand, highlighting our existing cooperation, and on the other, seeking new areas to develop and strengthen our partnership, " said Michał Kuczmierowski, President of the Material Reserves Agency.
" Poczta Polska is an important link both due to its market share, its experience to date, and its ability to collaborate to improve national security. We have experience in courier and transport services, as well as warehousing and packaging. This allows us to handle even the most complex and demanding orders ," emphasized Andrzej Bodziony, Vice President of Poczta Polska.
Poczta Polska is not only the largest logistics company in Poland, but also the largest employer. It employs nearly 80,000 people nationwide and has a fleet of 5,000 vehicles. It operates in both the courier and pallet delivery markets and also has a team of 3,500 qualified security personnel.
