Poczta Polska is once again accelerating the payment of pensions in flood-affected areas.

Poczta Polska is once again accelerating the payment of pensions in flood-affected areas.

Pensions, scheduled for payment on October 1st of this year, have been delivered to residents of flood-affected areas in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship since September 27th. Accelerated cash payments will also be made to those affected in the Opole Voivodeship. Pensions in other flood-affected areas will be delivered on time.

Poczta Polska, through its postmen, will attempt to contact each recipient of the money transfer. If, for example, due to evacuation, the recipient is not at home, the retiree will be able to collect the money at a convenient location, agreed upon with a Poczta Polska employee. If necessary, postmen will also attempt to deliver the pension after receiving a notification from the customer.

Wherever a payment issue arises, Poczta Polska will contact crisis management teams. Pension payment points will also be set up at these centers, as needed. The situation is dynamic, and Poczta Polska is constantly monitoring it and adapting its actions to current opportunities and local conditions.

Early pension payments are one of the initiatives Poczta Polska is taking to support those affected by or at risk of flooding. As with previous natural disasters, pandemics, and other emergencies in Poland, the company is launching a range of initiatives to support affected residents. It is also participating in central and local aid initiatives (providing logistical and warehousing facilities) and collaborating with institutions (including the Government Security Center and the Social Insurance Institution). To ensure citizens have access to basic government services, as of September 17, Poczta Polska has launched emergency and mobile postal points for residents of areas affected by or at risk of flooding. Poczta Polska will also donate fees collected from payments made at Poczta Polska branches to organizations providing assistance to flood victims.

The company is also actively contributing to flood relief efforts. Polish Post employees affected by the flood can report their needs and requests for financial, material, and logistical assistance. A fundraising campaign has also been launched – postal workers can donate money to flood victims through the "Pocztowy Dar" Foundation.
