Poczta Polska is improving the quality of its e-Delivery system

As of January 1st of this year, e-Delivery has become mandatory for many public institutions (such as local governments, tax offices, and public trust professions). The system is intended to ultimately replace traditional paper delivery advice notes. Poczta Polska is the designated operator, providing the service in accordance with instructions published by the Ministry of Digital Affairs. The system is gaining popularity. Currently, there are over half a million active e-Delivery mailboxes, and in January alone, the number of parcels sent exceeded 190,000.

The scale of this digital project is enormous. Over half a million active e-Delivery mailboxes are already in place, and over 4,000,000 PUH (hybrid delivery) shipments and nearly 600,000 PURDE (fully electronic delivery) shipments have been shipped.

According to data from Poczta Polska, in January of this year, the number of PURDE (fully electronic delivery) mails sent reached 191,000, of which only about 0.5% were rejected. For PUH (hybrid delivery), the rejection rate was just over 1%. Therefore, the scale of the problems is very limited. Those that do occur are being addressed on an ongoing basis or will be fixed in the coming days.

Poczta Polska (Polish Post) is already notifying senders much more quickly about the progress of electronic shipments. One problem identified by Poczta Polska experts is the constant electronic inquiries regarding the status of e-shipments. These inquiries are generated by entities sending or receiving electronic correspondence. This behavior causes excessive and unjustified system load. This information was forwarded to the Ministry of Digital Affairs and the Central Information Technology Centre.

The e-Delivery system implementation process was prepared and is being overseen by the Ministry of Digital Affairs. The Ministry announced that additional meetings with all stakeholders are planned in the near future to streamline e-Delivery processes. Experts from Poczta Polska have expressed their willingness to support the Ministry of Digital Affairs and participate in the communication process with entities reporting issues with the system's implementation.
