Poczta Polska will store parcels for people under quarantine
Due to the declared state of epidemic, Poczta Polska is taking increased precautions. A number of measures have been taken to limit the risk of spreading the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus and ensure the maximum safety of employees, customers, and business partners.
Until the isolation period ends, correspondence addressed to quarantined addresses will be stored at post offices, without any delivery attempt. This solution means that the notification period is suspended during the storage period. Delivery will only be attempted after the recipient completes the quarantine.
Individuals under quarantine do not have to report this fact to Poczta Polska; the company receives their addresses based on the Regulation of the Minister of Health of March 20, 2020, regarding the declaration of a state of epidemic in the territory of the Republic of Poland. Poczta Polska is in contact with regional sanitary inspectors regarding this matter.
Pensions for people in quarantine
The Polish Post Office is implementing special procedures for pension and disability benefits for individuals under quarantine. Pensions are prepared for payment at the post office and placed in secure envelopes, which are then delivered to the designated address using appropriate security procedures.
