Poczta Polska reminds: the third alert level Charlie-CRP is in force throughout the country
The third level of CRP alert (CHARLIE – CRP), introduced by decision of the Prime Minister on February 21, remains in effect throughout Poland until March 4th. The warning was issued to counter cyber threats that may escalate due to the situation in Ukraine.
The current Charlie-CRP alert level was introduced by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki based on the provisions of the Anti-Terrorism Act. CRP alert levels are related to the current risk of threats in cyberspace. The CHARLIE-CRP level is the third of four CRP alert levels defined in the Anti-Terrorism Act. It is implemented in the event of an event confirming the probable target of a terrorist attack in cyberspace or obtaining credible information about a planned event.
The tasks of state authorities related to the introduction of CRP alert levels were specified in the Regulation of the Prime Minister of 25 July 2016 on the scope of activities carried out in individual alert levels and CRP alert levels.
In the case of Poczta Polska, due to the CRP alert level, these tasks are being carried out by the company's specialized IT and security units. We remind our customers to exercise increased vigilance when using the internet.
WE ARE REMINDING:
Online safety – good practice tips for everyday use.
The Internet offers not only opportunities, but also threats that are worth keeping in mind when using the network on a daily basis.
Threats on the Internet
Many threats lurk online, awaiting less cautious users. Among the most common threats are malware, email and spoofed email attacks, social engineering attacks on social media, and attacks on mobile devices.
Learn about good practices
When using the internet, you should follow a few basic practices that will increase your security. These include: taking care of your passwords (including making them complex and changing them regularly), carefully checking your email, refraining from clicking on links sent in messages from unknown people or entities, and only making online purchases on secure websites and from trustworthy online stores. These are three simple habits that anyone can implement in their daily online life to increase their security.
Poczta Polska reminds that all suspicious or unusual messages, especially those requesting payment or personal data, purportedly sent by a representative of the Company, should be reported to the following address: fakt@poczta-polska.pl . Please also forward the suspicious message as an attachment, not as a "forward" message, as this complicates email analysis and delays the identification of the perpetrator.
