Poczta Polska joins the commemoration of the 35th anniversary of the round table meeting by broadcasting a unique series of stamps. This groundbreaking event initiated democratic changes not only in our country, but also in all of Central and Eastern Europe. As a result of the meeting at the round table, it became possible to conduct the first partly free elections to the Polish parliament, which took place on June 4, 1989.

Broadcast "Round table and elections on June 4, 1989" They form two stamps. On the first one has a fragment of an archival photo documenting the round table deliberations. Photography symbolizes dialogue and agreement that was crucial for peaceful changes in Poland. The second stamp presents a stylized calendar card with the date "June 4, 1989" and information about the first partly free elections resulting from the negotiations of the Round Table.

Stamps are sold in a block of flats whose graphics contain the title of emissions, the Polish emblem and the symbol of the victory and freedom "Victoria" - the iconic gesture of finger opening in the shape of the letter "V". In the 1980s, he symbolized peaceful resistance and hope for victory. Next to it could not be missing the red inscription Solidarity.

The broadcast is accompanied by an envelope on the first day of the FDC circuit, at which the Governor's Palace was presented, the place of the round table session. The date stamp is decorated with a graphics depicting a fragment of the complex of buildings of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, which further emphasizes the importance of these historical events for the development of democracy and the beginnings of freedom in Poland, as well as the development of civil society.
