Poczta Polska is developing international e-commerce by expanding its cooperation with Cainiao Network

pp_sorting roomPoczta Polska has signed an agreement with Cainiao Network (the logistics arm of Alibaba Group) – one of the leading global logistics operators, which delivers over 90% of AliExpress orders to Poland and worldwide. This expands on existing cooperation with this supplier, which ensures efficient courier service for shipments whose volumes are growing year over year. Thanks to the signed agreement, Polish customers ordering goods from China will be able to receive their parcels within 15 days of placing an order on the global sales platform. Poczta Polska guarantees that the parcel will arrive at the customer's door within two days of its arrival in Poland.

Customers ordering goods on AliExpress, one of the world's largest sales platforms, have been using Poczta Polska's services for several years, ensuring they receive their parcels quickly, on time, and delivered anywhere in the country. Poczta Polska and Cainiao are constantly developing their partnership, streamlining the distribution of goods purchased by Polish customers on global marketplaces.

The CEP (courier, express, and parcel) delivery market is growing rapidly, driven by cross-border trade and growing interest among Poles in online stores, not just Polish ones. Goods purchased this way will be delivered to Polish recipients via Pocztex courier.

I would like to emphasize that one of the pillars of Poczta Polska's new strategy is to increase its share of the CEP market, especially in the cross-border market. According to our assumptions, our goal by 2024 is to double the company's revenue from courier shipments, particularly in the e-commerce sector. Developing cooperation with key partners in this market, such as the AliExpress platform and the Cainiao Network, is one of Poczta Polska's most important initiatives in this area of ​​business, " says Tomasz Zdzikot, President of the Management Board of Poczta Polska.

Poczta Polska has been collaborating with Cainiao since 2018, providing professional services to Polish AliExpress customers. Building on the excellent experience of previous collaboration between Poczta Polska and Cainiao, the two companies have signed another agreement for 2021/2022. This collaboration with the Alibaba Group aligns with Poczta Polska's strategic plans and will be further developed in the future.

Poczta Polska is the key and sole door-to-door supplier for AliExpress, which delivers parcels to customers within 15 days of placing an order on the platform. Both companies have also taken steps to reduce CO2 emissions by consolidating multiple shipments addressed to a single customer into combined packages.

The national postal operator is interested in cooperating with the largest global players in the e-commerce market, and the agreement with Cainiao is another step towards implementing Poczta Polska's new strategy, the pillars of which are intensive development in the CEP market.
