We are expanding our customs and tax services and will handle even more international shipments.
Since March of this year, Poczta Polska has expanded its customs services, enabling the processing of incoming shipments from abroad for which the company was unable to submit declarations. Previously, customers had to clear these shipments themselves.
The change introduced recently concerns declarations for goods in postal consignments intended for customs clearance outside the previously used simplified procedure, including for goods returned from third countries (countries not belonging to the European Economic Area, which includes the European Union, Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein).
Currently, Poczta Polska customers receive notifications informing about the arrival of a shipment that has lost its EU customs status, along with information about the possibility of clearance of such a shipment by the Operator.
Poczta Polska (Polish Post) can send parcels to the most remote corners of the world. Depending on the destination, customers can choose from a range of services: EMS, postal parcel, standard letter, registered letter, insured mail, or Global Express. Poczta Polska is currently working on offering a service that will provide comprehensive customs clearance for these types of shipments sent outside the European Union.
