Poczta Polska is developing cooperation with Amazon

sorting_room_pp_w_komornikach_1One of the pillars of Poczta Polska's new strategy is to increase its share in the CEP (courier, express, and parcel) market. According to the adopted assumptions, the goal is to double the company's revenue from this segment by 2024. Developing cooperation with key partners in the e-commerce market is one of the key activities undertaken by Poczta Polska in this area of business activity.

" Poczta Polska has been delivering parcels to Poles ordering goods on the Amazon platform for several years now. The launch of the Polish version of the platform expands our cooperation and offers the opportunity to significantly increase the volume of parcels handled by Poczta Polska. Collaboration with e-commerce companies is a strategic initiative for the Company. We will intensify our work in this area to double our revenue from courier services by 2024, " says Tomasz Zdzikot, CEO of Poczta Polska.

Poczta Polskie's strategy for 2021-2023 assumes the intensive development of courier services. Currently, Poczta Polska's revenue from development areas, which include courier, digital, and logistics services, generates less than 20% of the company's revenue. Traditional business, i.e., paper letters, payments, and postal orders, which are subject to strong e-substitution, currently generates almost four times the company's revenue. The implementation of the Strategy aims to reverse this proportion – revenue from development areas is expected to predominate by 2024. These changes reflect the scale of the revolution affecting Poczta Polska's business environment and the company itself.

" Customers ordering goods on the Amazon platform have been using Poczta Polska's services for several years now to receive their parcels quickly, on time, and delivered anywhere in the country. Together with Amazon, we've prepared to expand our partnership so that customers can use one of the largest sales platforms – amazon.pl – through Poczta Polska ," says Andrzej Bodziony, Vice President of Poczta Polska.

In its Strategy for 2021-2023, Poczta Polska also envisages the development of a network of collection points, the number of which will increase from the current 13,600 to 20,000 by 2022. This year, the operator will launch 500 parcel collection machines, and next year, customers will be able to use 2,000 such devices. This year, Poczta Polska will introduce a new format of Pocztex courier services. Customers will receive a simplified offer, much more tailored to their needs, in a new standard. Work on the new Pocztex has already begun. Postal workers are working intensively on logistics to ensure that all courier shipments are delivered in line with the expectations of online stores and their customers (D+1) the next day, the standard currently provided by Pocztex Ekspres 24.

In 2020, Poczta Polska acquired over 5,000 new customers. The company collaborates with domestic companies and the largest and most important players in the industry. The national postal operator is interested in collaborating with both the largest e-commerce players and emerging online stores that can expand their operations over time.
