We are developing cooperation with a company from the retail industry
Poczta Polska is consistently expanding its "Pick-up Point" network, which, in addition to several thousand of its own post offices and automated mailboxes, also includes parcel collection points in well-known partner chains. Pursuing its strategic goals in courier and parcel services, the company is accelerating its expansion in this area and expanding its partnership with the owner of the Biedronka chain of stores.
For over two years, Poczta Polska customers have been able to collect parcels from parcel machines located in Biedronka stores. Recognizing the growing popularity of parcel collection at points and machines, the company, together with Jeronimo Martins Polska SA, decided to test expand their existing partnership. As a result, parcel collection will be possible directly at Biedronka stores during everyday shopping. The pilot is being implemented with the participation of technology partner PointPack SA.
" Poczta Polska already has the largest click & collect network in Poland. Together with our partners, we offer customers over 15,000 collection points, and we want to expand this network to 20,000 within two years. Our strategic goal is to become a leader in the courier market, which is growing thanks to e-commerce. We are committed to providing e-commerce customers with convenient ways to collect their purchases, thanks to our partnerships with large and well-known retail chains, which undoubtedly include Biedronka supermarkets, " says Andrzej Bodziony, Vice President of Poczta Polska.
Poczta Polska SA is the largest logistics company in the country, with 7,600 post offices and a fleet of 5,000 delivery vehicles. It is also the largest employer in Poland. Jeronimo Martins Polska SA owns the largest retail chain, Biedronka, with over 3,000 stores, and is the largest private employer in the country.
By acquiring new business partners and expanding cooperation with existing ones, Poczta Polska already has the largest network of collection points in the country, which is expected to exceed 20,000 by the end of 2022. The development of the CEP (courier, express, parcel) market is aligned with the company's strategy for 2021-2023, and the network of collection points enables both the collection and return of online purchases. Later this year, Poczta Polska will expand its collection options at parcel machines, and by the end of 2022, the company will have launched 2,000 of its own outdoor machines.
