Poczta Polska is creating a digital philatelic community in Poland and around the world.
Today, October 18th, Poczta Polska is launching a dedicated website: nft.poczta-polska.pl, where we will present our digital collecting offerings. The first 1,558 customers who sign up for the newsletter will receive the "August" Philatelic Thaler. The "Poland in Space" crypto stamps are scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2023. These are pioneering crypto-philatelic products from a company committed to digitalization.
The concept of issuing the first Polish crypto stamp is the result of a combination of a passion for philately and modern technology. Each of the four types of crypto stamps consists of two elements: a traditional postage stamp and a digital component represented by unique NFT tokens on the Polygon network using the ERC1155 standard.
Poczta Polska, which is increasingly becoming a digital company, plans to issue historical philatelic thalers and four crypto stamps under the "Poland in Space" issue. The first thalers will be available in October of this year, and the crypto stamps in the first quarter of 2023.
Those interested in purchasing philatelic cryptocurrencies should visit the website nft.poczta-polska.pl .
Poczta Polska has prepared a promotional campaign called "Catch a Thaler" on the website, in which anyone who signs up for the Poczta Polska newsletter on the website will be able to obtain the first Philatelic Thaler with the image of King Sigismund Augustus.
The thaler is the first product in Poczta Polska's virtual collection. It was issued on October 18, 2022, as the Polish Post celebrates Communications Officer Day.
There will only be 1,558 cryptocurrencies. And this number is no coincidence. In 1558, King Sigismund Augustus "established a permanent postal connection between Krakow and Venice via Vienna, using postal horses."
Poczta Polska will systematically present its digital collecting offerings on its website, launched today. Physical versions of crypto-philatelic stamps will be available for purchase at selected post offices and online at www.filatelistyka.poczta-polska.pl .
" As a company, we combine traditional functions with modern, digital ones. In our promotional campaign, we are referencing King Sigismund Augustus, who founded the Polish postal service, and at the same time, we have developed a Polish cryptographic stamp system, which is not only a combination of traditional postage stamps and cryptographic technologies, but also a comprehensive environment creating a digital philatelic community in Poland and worldwide. I am committed to Poczta Polska's entry into the world of technology in various areas of our operations. I believe that philatelic activity can be a very interesting future solution, " said Krzysztof Falkowski, CEO of Poczta Polska.
The partners of the issue are: the Polish Space Agency and the Polish Security Printing Works.
