PrintingSeptember 27 this year. Poczta Polska introduced a stamp depicting the symbol of the Fighting Poland - a famous anchor with an element of the national flag. This emission resembles the history of the creation and action of the Polish Underground State during World War II.

The author of the stamp Jerzy Pietras presented the paint painted on the wall, symbolizing the hope of regaining independence during World War II. Next to it, he placed the colors of the Polish flag, and in the background the stamp's proclamation about the creation of the General Government. The occasional stamp with a denomination of PLN 3.30 was printed in a circulation of 150,000 pieces.

The Polish Underground State is a secret structure of the Polish state, existing during World War II in areas occupied by the Third Reich and the USSR, subordinate to the Polish government in exile. They were made up of a military division and a civil division. The civil department was managed by a government delegation created in 1940 to the country. On July 26, 1944, the National Council of Ministers (KRM) was established on the basis of the government delegation.

The germ of the military division was the Polish Victory Service, established on the night of September 26-27, 1939, in the besieged Warsaw, which transformed on November 13, 1939 into the Armed Struggle Association, renamed on February 14, 1942 into the Home Army.
